Heavy Equipment Operator Training: Logbook (2012)

This HEO logbook provides a record of the trainee's practical learning and skill proficiency.

It provides all users with a record of:

• What has been (or must be) learned during the work-based component of an industry training program.
• Proficiency for each practical competency in an industry training program.
• When and where this learning was achieved.
• Who was involved in providing and assessing the work-based training.

It helps coordinate work-based training. It shows the instructor how the trainee's skills are developing in the workplace. When completed, it provides a summary of all practical competencies and training hours (seat time) acquired by the trainee during work-based and/or formal training, so it can be used as evidence:

• For prospective employers.
• When applying for final certification, or
• When challenging a Certificate of Qualification.
