The Decline of Diffuse Knapweed in British Columbia (TR065) 2011

Invasive plants on North American rangelands have altered ecosystems by reducing forage used by livestock and wildlife, and by altering ecological processes, such as hydrological and nutrient cycles (Masters and Sheley 2001; Duncan et al. 2004). Diffuse knapweed (Centaurea diffusa Lam.) is perhaps the most well-known invasive rangeland plant in Western Canada and the United States.
